Mariana R. Chambers knows a thing or two about jewelry. Throughout her career in jewelry design development, she has worked with famed brands Marc by Marc Jacobs and indie-darlings Lulu Frost and Fenton Fallon. With intimate industry and factory relationships, she has guided her clients to great success with design direction and product strategy. Mariana’s work has been sold in the industry’s top retailers such as Barneys, Neiman Marcus, and Harvey Nichols, to name a few. 

As a girl, Mariana dressed in her grandmothers' baubles often. Her favorite memory as a child was sitting in on her grandmothers’ seamstress appointments and watching them create patterns that became beautiful clothing from simple designs. For her, the adoration was always about the process of how something — well, anything — was made. Years later, that passion would evolve and materialize itself in a successful career in jewelry making.

Prior to starting Cut and Clarity, Mariana ran MRC Consulting Group, a New York-based creative agency for jewelry design, development and production. As a jewelry designer, she created custom designs for friends and family and enjoyed letting them in on the secrets of jewelry making. The demand soon spread beyond friends and family, so Mariana embraced her entrepreneurial spirit to disrupt the landscape for the better.

From there, Cut and Clarity was formed.

Mariana’s style is influenced and inspired by her Argentinian roots and the many places the world has taken her — South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Her young daughter Mika Luisa, named after her grandmother, has been alongside Mariana’s entrepreneurial journey since day one. It’s Mariana’s hope to teach Mika a thing or two about jewelry, life and business.
