To the naked eye, it is hard to tell the difference between pure gold jewelry and gold vermeil. But time will tell with the quality of a jewelry piece and its effects on the environment.  Many jewelry brands offer vermeil as an affordable replacement to solid gold but it does not last! Gold vermeil tarnishes and is not as eco-friendly as solid gold, nor does it hold its value the same. This is why Cut + Clarity does not offer this option.
